I know some of you guys are more than capable. :) Our AK/RPK74's are begging for them and it would be 3 US parts to our rifles. Think of the fortune you could make just off the members of this board, lol.
Am I convincing anyone yet?

not gonna happen.
Unless they ban the importation of high cap mags will someone start making domestic AK mags.
Yeah the quad stack would be cool.
Our best bet is to have Kvar tell the bulgarian factory to start making them.

Also think of this.
Pookie is the only guy I know making a US made floorplate for 5.45 style mags.
There is ALOT of money to be made in them yet no-one is making them.

it would be nice - but if kvar or some other company could get some imported that would be pretty cool. Besides they look to be a little more streamlined than a drum and only 15 rounds less capacity.

maybe someone could come up with a simple and effective way of putting two thirty round mags together to get the same thing.

We should pull together on this one. If everyone called KVAR and made the requested that these get made maybe they will listen. However I think we should plan on the fact that it isn't going to happen. If we want it we must do it ourselves. Aren't there place that will make anything out of injection mold plastic if you tell them the dimensions? We could get springs from Wolff I bet.

I've got a shop ready to try but they need a print to go off of. If anybody can direct me to a print then we will see what we can do.

Somebody educate me a little here. First of all, it looks like a jammer to me. What(looking at the drawing) would ensure it loads properly. Seems if it did not load as shown, it would jam as it was used. Second, looks like it is already patented. I assume the RU is a Russian patent since it is not in the patent database, but patents have been upheld worldwide. I have seen a lot of people on this board complaining(and rightly so) about their ideas being taken and sold, so isn't this an example of that?

Yep that would be an example of that, however in this case Russian won't (can't) sell them to us. I wouldn't feel bad, would you?

you know, i've been meditating about this.

call me crazy but i think you could do the whole thing with sheet metal, snips, a drill press, a vice, a welder, and a sander (except for the spring and axial pins for the rotating follower supports)... once you got a design laid out and figured out the proper tolerances you could just mass produce all the twenty or so peices needed for each mag then just weld them together

THe follower isn't a problem. I had planned to do something differently for some time now, by making a side-sliding follower w/ springs to keep it engaged. Real simple design, could be aluminum.

Looking at the patent pic, I see how they did it now.

The PROBLEM is that I don't do synthetics. I need to get Hicap to glue some mags side-side like he did w. the 45-rounders. Get me the mag body, I'll get you the quad stacks.

I don't know anything about the rest of their product line, but Pro-mags Glock mags aren't worth a damn.

They aren't even reliable enough to be range mags, let alone relying on them if your life depended upon it.

Pookie do you know Hicap? I PM'ed him over on Gunsnet and he said is n't working on anything right now. I wonder if we'd get his interest by getting him a link to this thread? Anyone know his real email address?
