Ok Im done with drilling the rivets out of my amd and now im just waiting for the receiver to arrive...I ordered 2 of them...and now I get this email from kvar with the plum kits on sale....I was looking at the kit with the ag-4 bayonet mag and zig zag gas port on the flash suppresor.....In everyones honest opinion is it worth spending the extra money WOW almost 75-100 bux on the 74 kit with the zig zag thing or should I just get the plum kit and be happy?.....are there any advantages to having the zig zag FS ??

Update

Well I just went ahead and ordered the plum kit thinking that someday I could upgrade the rifle to have the zig zag port and the wood furniture...I think Im going to call Kvar 2morrow and try to have the stock left out so I can get one of those Bulgarian left side folding stocks and trunion put in if they have them........

that sounds good,, my thought is if you do not get what you want now you will allways regret it.. evry time you look at it you will think wow I wish I got the options I wanted when I could. the price will onlt go one way. and sometimes availibility is gone forever.

i believe ohio rapid fire has the kits with the side folding stocks.

Yes ohio rapid fire does have the AKS74 kits. I am finishing up one right now. They had 2 grades listed but that was a while ago so they my no longer have both. One was a new kit and the other was a refurbished one which shows some wear and use.
