hey guys,

here is where i am at.

i got evrything together with #8 screws. checked magwell and topcover. i believe i am ready to rivet. i have all the tools. just wanted to know what to do first.

trigger guard
front trunion
rear trunion

any other helpful tips appreciated before i jump in, thanks in advance, CJ

I generally rivet in the front trunion, then the trigger guard, bead blast and parkerize the receiver, rear trunion, and center support, then paint the same parts with your prefered spray on finish, press in the barrel and set head space then rivet in the center support and rear trunion. With the availability of really nice kits these days I usually find myself trying to paint the receiver and trunions to match the front end of the kit. With the AK74's that are so plentiful right now that means some type of semi gloss to glossy black.

If you have already drilled and got your spacing correct, I say whatever.
It depends on if you are accustomed to using the same receivers, I generally build the OOW's and have done the rear first if it's a folder, because the trimming always takes off the front. But I would do TG, front, then rear if it's a learning curve.
