.308, one of those kits would be cool as hell to own! Wonder who will figure out the issues of the front trunnion and receiver. It seem there is always money to be made in this market if someone was willing to step up to the plate and do it.

I was thinking AK kits

Centerfire has the AMD kits
K-Var has the AK-74 kits that others have complained were demilled slopily
Global Trades "says" they are out of PMKMS kits
FAC is also out of the PMKMS kits
Anybody want to share some "secret" sources????

If you feel the need to be seriously jerked around you can spin the wheel over at Joeken and see what you come up with. They are rumored to have real Russian AKM kits, stamped, all matching (or guaranteed to have been that way at one time) and a nifty little letter that states they were actually used by the PLO before they were seized. God who comes up with these stories anyhow?!?!?

Those M76 kits are pretty cool huh? They are pricey, but like one of the guys was saying over there they are in the same ball park as the Romak kits that so many of us kicked for. By the time you add in the optics and extra mags you are pretty much right there with the Romak. Now the issue of the front trunion and the big IF about the Romak receiver handling the 8mm round, that needs to be sorted out first. But, yeah you betcha I want one bad.

lets face it would not be funny if it was not true. come on guys laugh a little. I shure am glad I bought my romak111 from my #1 lady Lois

Sorry meyerse for haveing some fun on your thread. I do however have a very good sugestion for you. call Lois and get a bulgy kit.. I have seen one first hand and the furniture is the BEST I have seen as far as comdition goes, and the rest of the kit is just like new too. My buddy got a polish 23 mm front trunion and a rear tang , it is not too much effort to get the milled stock to fit on a stampped tang. A great kit , a novel kit, a less common kit, a kit with a few new chalanges and not an overly expensive kit. I highly recomend this bulgy kit from Lois if you still are looking for an "intresting" kit.

HB--I agree on the Bulgies.

AA-OK has E. German trunnions and the one I got worked well with the kit. My son spent a load of time on the stock it is too much work.

But it makes a nice rifle.

I guess I would have to ask ,, is this your first build?? my suggestion may not be for the first time builder. but man you will have a nice finished product.

someone was selling german ak for 109 and akm for 119. the add is in sg news pretty often .. maby CF again .. again pretty nice build with treditional looks , I think it was all black furniture, if you like that

HB, LMAO!! I think we all know who you are talking about. Just how long have they been waiting on those Romainian kits? Do you think FTroop has give it away and they may just be in soon? Fat chance and probably wishful thinking.

Meyerse, if this is your first build I would definitely recommend an AMD-63. From what Lois told me, she still has these in stock and can still give the same deal she was giving a while back...$110. She said until her boss tells her otherwise she can still sell them at this price. It has the full length barrel and folding stock. Cuts out a lot of extra things you have to worry about.
