Would so swap your Cetme C for a G3?

Hello to everyone,

I currently have in my posession a Model C Cetme, in a superb condition. A friend of mine had a look at it and "obviously " felt in Love with it. The G3 was build around the same year, and the Condition is rather similar. Since I already know that the CETME C is an outstanding rifle, I am not so sure about the differences with the G3.

Thanks

If you're asking if you should sell yours and buy a G3 instead I don't think I'd bother. The two rifles are similar enough that you may not be happy since what you already have is "superb condition".
+1.It was the cheap convertions that bogggered them up.If yours runs fine keep her.
Umm is it your friend that wants to trade the G3 for your CETME?

Sounds strange to me, other then the sights they're almost the same
The early Cetme's 70's era were great rifles and were not parts guns like the one's today and the same go's with the G3 rifles. The G3 is also made in Pakistan so you have to be up on what your looking at. If you have a good shooter don't get rid of it, you know what you have, don't go into the unknown.:whack:
yeah ive got both versions and i like my CETME just as well and it runs just as good.

plus the fact that i built it..... nah i wouldnt trade either.
The HK91s I have shot had more recoil than the Cetmes.
Hi!

Thanks for your replies! I wanted to get further into the "testing" and my Cetme has less recoil than the G·, perhaps because of the weight, and is FAR more accurate, I am keeping it, my Dear friend wasnae aware of such differences. Also, the Bolt is some grams heavier in the CETME.

It's not the weight (both guns are virtually identical there).

It's the angle of the locking shoulder (which affects how the bolt unlocks) on the Cetme that contributes to it's softer recoil.
