WTB - Romanian or other flat bottom AKM gas block w bayonet lug

611 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  sjohnson
Hello,

I am in need of three or more gas blocks with flat bottoms and working bayonet lugs. They can be Romanian, East German or Hungarian. I have attached a photo of what I am looking for. I would prefer to get them from a fellow board member.

Thanks
RR

I've been looking for nearly a year now. I do see them once in a while, but they're usually sold before I can lay dibs on them.

I've had two thoughts on cloning one, though. The first would be to take the left-side style and machine the void to accept a close-fit slab of steel and silver-solder it in the valley between the two ends. The other involves fashioning a bayonet lug and likewise silver-soldering it to the gas block on the right. Done with care you could blue, park or paint and it'd be tough to see where the join was.

If I had access to a TIG, adding metal to the right gas block would be another way to get it done.
Yes,
I have found one on the boards. I have also thought about modifying one, but I hope a fellow board member out there might have an extra to sell.
Thanks
RR
I have these in Romanian. $14.50 each plus $5.50 shipping.

I will take at least 3 of them if they are like the one on the right in the picture above and have working bayonet lugs.
Thanks
PM sent.
