Buy a put together rifle i bought a LR308 lower with the intent of building one but they used all there in stock parts to put more rifles on the market good stuff other than the fact that i have had mags and parts on backorder for months. Myself i going to do There LR308SASS rifle once my parts get to me should have just ordered the whole rifle but with the new bans on the way i figured get the lower now and the rest later

Thank You Col.
I was also looking at the sass, But I did not like the fluted barrel and only comes in 7.62
So I figured the LR308, It does have a 24"stainless heavy barrel that can be teflon coated.
And You get a 16" barrel for the reciever
Bushmaster stopped making the 308, and only make's .450?
I'm looking for something in a U.S made semi to Complement my Romak3.

When I bought my LR I already had 2 AR10's. I didn't try any of the small parts but I can tell you that the uppers, lowers and mags do not interchange. I think the DPMS mag is a modified Stoner. Armalite is modified M14. When I get home from work today I'll check some AR15 parts for fit in the LR.
The Fulton Armory Titan is a skillfully worked over DPMS. Rich and company do a wonderful job.

Thanks for the help i know the DPMS will take the SR-25 mags i just wish i could find some i have some Cproducts mags on back order but they have been there for 3 months. I LOVE the SR-25 are sniper team had one on my last tour in Ramadi Iraq. The thing was the BEST with the can on the front it still shot 1/2 MOA. To bad i had to give it back.

1/2 MOA with a can,,,, HECK YEAH. Did you use reduced 220 gr loads? Like a frikkin' MACK truck!!
I laid some things out and snapped a few pictures. It seems that about the only AR15 parts that will work are the PG, buffer tube and stock. Everything else is on steroids. The 308 lower is a good bit wider so the selector, take down pins and trigger pins would be short. Plus, you might notice in the pic that the take down pins are a larger diameter. I didn't pull the FCG out because the hammer is obviously larger so you'll need to order the LR308 lower parts kit.

Normal 15gr match

1/2 MOA with a can,,,, HECK YEAH. Did you use reduced 220 gr loads? Like a frikkin' MACK truck!!
We just used the same loads that we had for are M40A3's 175gr boat tail still had the crack of super sonic but in the city it was masked pretty well. On one mission it was like day 2 or 3 some Iraqi's were loadind watermelons in a flatbed 200 yrds away. we shot a watermelon as some trucks were driveing by dragging rebar (yes i said drgging it the truck was way to small and it was so loud) The guys loading the truck ducked and starting looking for the shooter but were about 180 degrees off i thought they were going to hear us laughing. But we had to check are zero you know incase some bad guys came around

The pics

The rifle is an early model. I need to install a railed gas block on it so I'll have back up iron sights. I shoot it at 600 yards and it has never failed me. I sold the AR10's after shoooting this rifle a few times. (sorry Armalite guys)
The AR15 with the accuwedge is a Fulton Armory with a Rock River trigger installed.
The other AR15 without the accuwedge was made from an 80% with Justins Jig. It's just a standard DPMS lpk but I stoned and polished the fcg

I loaded up some 220's for my buddy's rifle. They sound like a hammer blow when he shoots something with them.
Well, here's the answer to your original question. I robbed one of my ARs of it's magpul. It slid on perfectly without the spacer.
Damn, now I need another one. This ones gonna stay on the 08!

Here are couple picks of a DPMS mag. I didn't want to hijack your thread in the company review section.
Since I added the Magpul stock my 600 yard groups tightened a little. I do miss the cleaning kit compartment because that's where I used to keep my wind dope charts. I think I'll transfer the data to another pull-out chart and put it on the scope.
Worthy of mention is that one my DPMS mags needed the feed lips a little for relialbe function.
