How many calibers do you shoot?

This may seem like a strange question but do you limit calibers you shoot and try to find platforms to fit your caliber choices? Or do you not care about that and buy firearms just because you want them regardless of the caliber?

Pretty much the same, my main handgun caliber is 9mm, although I do have a few revolvers in .38 and .357 and a .45 1911 just because everyone should have a .45 1911! Just built a 10mm G40 "Glockzilla" clone on a Poly80 lower just because I might feel the need to kill a Kenworth from 100 yards out someday...

Rifles are almost all in .223 and .308, 5.45 and 7.62X39 for the AKs, but I do own one T-C Compass rifle in 6.5 Creedmor because I wanted to play with the new hot round, and the rifle was less than $200 on sale.

Of course .22s in rifles and handguns, who doesn't own at least one?

My few shotguns are all in 12, most effective and ammo versatile of the common gauges, cheapest too.

I do have a few more "oddballs" here and there, but they are usually fed a box or two at a time, the main calibers are stocked up on. Reloading is similar, the main cals get the Dillon conversion kits, the secondarys get loaded on the single stage.

In pistols I have .22, .22 mag, .380. 38, 9 mm and .45 acp, in rifles I have only 7.62x39 in a couple different platforms, and shotgun only 12 gauge in a couple different platforms.

I am sure I will broaden my rifle family at some point. I mean seriously who doesn't need an M1 Garand, or an AR-15, or maybe even a Dragunov?

Honestly my initial idea was to keep calibers to a minimum and only explore a variety of platforms. But I have come to realize that idea is somewhat limiting. So now I am far more open to looking at far more options.

I started years ago with 22 rifle and 12ga shotgun. Then a 44mag pistol. Which I started reloading for. Then a 30-06 hunting rifle again reloading for it. The reloading lead me to pretty cheap rounds to use.
Somewhere along the line I started buying extra reloading supplies from yard sale, auctions, gun shows, and store sales.
That put me in the mode if I buy the reloading supplies maybe I need the firearm to go with it. So here I am with several dozen different round types and firearms to use in them.
Just bought a set of dies and have about 200 rounds of 50 cal in the relaod room so maybe it is timme to make a new purchase.
Chase the dream try them all have fun at it.

LOL,, at this point Fyredup, I shoot and have most all the calibers already listed before other than a couple. To my list I would have to add a couple different 7mm rounds (Mauser's), 6.5 X55, 7.62 X25, 8mm Label, .41 Mag, 44 Mag, 38S&W, a few box's of 32 rim fire left, short and longs, 7.62 Luger, .270, , 280 Ross, 8mm Mauser, 500 Nitro Express, 7.62 X54R, 303 British, and maybe a couple others I may have forgot ????

I don't even consider caliber if it's something I like, some of my favorite ones are ones I rarely if ever shoot so I don't let having to many different calibers keep me from getting something . Some guns I only want or need 1 or 2 box's for anyways , they only get fired once in a Blue Moon, if ever !

Just me,, but then again I'm single and don't have a wiffey to rag on me for shuffling the budget for something special,,,,,,,,

like the new 750 4 wheeler I just bought,,,,,,

Well I am contemplating adding a few more calibers. I would like an AR-15 and a Dragunov. Not sure I want anything more caliber wise in handguns although that PMR-30 keeps calling me like a siren's song.

Anything I can reload. Around 10, but I go through phases. Lately I’ve been on a7.62 tok craze.
