It has been awhile since I built a Zastava M76 rifle. I still have a couple of these kits to build. This one has an original Serbian barrel.
I riveted the bullet guide and the front of the trigger guard. Headspaced it and checked the feed and lock up.
Need to finish riveting the trigger guard and set the RSB and barrel pin.
The build is pretty simple like a milled AK. The optics rail takes a bit of rigging to set the rivets but not bad.
I plan to spray it with the new Dura Coat matte blue black finish I purchased at Knob Creek last week. We shall see.
Worked a few more hours on the M76.
Set the barrel pin and RSB pin.
Function checked the action, mag & feed & BHO..
Test fit the furniture.
Finished the trigger guard rivets and the optics rail rivets.
Cut the bevel and fit the front receiver cover plate
Plan to use an ALG trigger and finish in Duracoat two part matte blue/black finish for a first time use of that product.
Probably after test fire and scope zero.

The last one I have is an excellent example with original milspec barrel, milled front stub and I have a cut receiver as well as an ORF. Hanging on to that for a later sale or build., Dunno.
